// About

Small by design. Never alone.

Journalists, newsrooms and human rights defenders do work that someone, somewhere, would rather stop. Most of them don't have a security team. Adso exists to be that team — practical, discreet, and on their side.

Who you're talking to

I'm Hisham Almiraat, founder of Adso.

For more than a decade I've helped journalists, newsrooms and human rights organizations stay safe online — first as a trainer, then leading information security from inside the organizations themselves.

Before security, I trained as a medical doctor. It still shapes how I work: listen first, diagnose calmly, treat what matters most — and never make anyone feel bad about their habits.

Along the way I led digital rights work at Global Voices, the international network of writers and translators, built security programs at Justice and Peace and Free Press Unlimited, and today I lead security for investigative journalism teams.

Never alone

Adso is one person you can call — backed by the community that keeps civil society safe online: trainers, incident responders, forensic labs and helplines I've worked alongside for years. When your case needs a specialist, I know who to bring in.
